Opplæringssenteret provide creative apprentices in design and production for print and digital media.
About the client
Opplæringssenteret (training center) for visual communication recruits talented students in graphic design, web, film and graphic production to become apprentices in companies.
They are a publicly approved training office that covers Oslo, Viken, Vestfold and Telemark and parts of the Inland. They work with a number of companies from different parts of the media industry (advertising agencies, newspapers, web agencies, graphic companies, film companies and in-house departments).
Their business is financed through public apprenticeship grants.

The challenge
Opplæringssenteret wanted to update text, media and some easy page layouts theirselves. This was not possible with their previous CMS solution. The challenge was to implement a WordPress solution and migrate all the data to the new platform.
The solution
Based on the idea, design and UI provided by our partner, Hai Interaktiv, we implemented the WordPress solution. We worked side by side with the designers which provided the right guides to follow.
While WordPress started as a blogging tool, it has evolved throughout the years into a powerful website builder and a robust content management system (CMS). The best part about WordPress is that it’s easy to use and flexible enough to make different types of websites. According to a recent survey, WordPress powers 32.3% of all websites on the internet.
The result
The result was a brand new WordPress implementation with all the needed features and the most important one for our client, the flexibility.
We are always learning and using the latest technologies on our projects if possible.

Conversation is one of our most important values and a habit we support at every stage of our development process. We use Slack for chat, Trello for planning, and Github for code reviews and discussion.
